Data protection notice
Wela processes personal information with the aim of meeting South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act and Kenya's Data Protection Act requirements.
Purpose and minimisation
Personal information is collected for defined account, ticketing, payment-status, delivery, event-operation and support purposes. Wela aims to limit collection to information reasonably needed for those purposes.
Security safeguards
Authentication sessions use HTTP-only cookies. Organizer routes enforce workspace roles. Payment webhooks are verified before tickets are issued, and card details remain with the hosted payment provider.
Operators and cross-border processing
Cloud, messaging and payment providers may process information in other jurisdictions. Wela should enable a provider only after appropriate contractual and security review.
Data subject requests
Requests for access, correction, objection or deletion can be sent to support@wela.africa. Records may be retained where required for transactions, security, disputes or legal obligations.
